Let me mention when I 1st arrived in the bay, No one stated their name, no one offered me a blanket or the call bell if I needed anything. I was so cold I took the sheet off the gurney and wrapped it around me. When I called this to her attention she said "you are on the ER side where people can walk around and get things themselves" WOW I didn't know that.
I was taken back to a bay on the left, (I later found out this side is the non urgent quick side) 2 women met me in the bay, they never identified themselves as Drs, PA's, nurses etc. As I tried to explain how I felt I was interrupted by 1 saying"Oh you have a sinus infection" one took my bp and asked me my height and weight and was I allergic to anything. NO ONE ever listened to my heart or lungs with a stethoscope...but said I would need a chest x-ray!! Since when do you need a chest x-ray for your sinus'??
I was brought here when I had a snow tubing accident. The ambulance wait time was too long, especially as the hospital wasn't far away. 30 minutes later the ambulance arrived. The medics were kind and professional, and got me to the hospital in no more than 10 minutes. I was rushed into a room. The wait time was about 10-20 minutes. Finally, I was taken to get an x-ray. It seemed the technology was pretty good, as they were using scanners. Finally, I needed stitches. After that, I was done. The staff was polite and professional, doing their job right. I don't know why there are so many bad reviews, because during my visit, everything seemed fine.
Well I got the chest x-ray and she peered in the curtain and said your x-ray was fine...NO Kidding was my reply!!
I said there's nothing wrong with my chest, one replied well things can manifest in the body!!
Terrible! Don't walk... RUN AWAY!!!!
I see on my paper work there's only one name, Valdivieso. I don't know if she was the one doing all the talking.
Friday Sept 15, 2017 at 2:30pm I went to the LVHN-East ER because I've been sick for 4 days and not getting any better. I have a severe sore throat, both ears are blocked, right ear extremely painful, sinus' are packed very congested,headache,muscles ache all over my body,vomitting stopped on Thurs but I can't eat, it makes me nauseous and I have severe pain in lower right quadrant. I'm very lightheaded and poor balance with a sick feeling all over.
Since they have insisted that the cross had to be dismantled and taken down, treatment here has headed to the basement. I will not go here. Much better off going to Lancaster or Hershey or ANYWHERE but here. Lehigh, shmeehigh. Misdiagnosed, messed around for A WEEK, fiancé left next to a patient in horrible pain! That poor man was moaning all night, and all day!!! Then they denied his pain, stating that it was "all in his head"!!!!? I felt sorry for that man. It took a physician that was from an outside hospital to finally get my fiancé's diagnoses correct.
In the bay next to me was a man that was in for severe back pain, he could not stand up straight. He was extremely upset and obnoxious at times but not nearly as loud and as rude as the lady was who told him "This is an Emergency room for emergencies, you see your primary care for back pain and colds and flu!! When I was leaving I let her know she had no right talking to that man the way she did. He needed more than an x-ray and sent home. And I do not have a UTI and my Chest is Clear!!
The ER waiting room was not clean, wet spots and sticky spots all over the floor and 1 large spill under some chairs, and a very large bug crawling around.
I gave a urine sample and 2 hours later in walks one of them with my discharge papers and pills in a cup. They tried to tell me I have a UTI!! I said what are my symptoms if I have a UTI... She said you have pain in your side that's a symptom and you said you are going more than usual. NO I said I always go a lot I drink a lot of water, and I haven't had any food in over 24 hr, Im trying to keep my fluids up. I asked who did the Urine test but she never answered
My dad was in the emergency room dying. Im not one to pest the staff unless it's a true emergency. I went out to my dad's nurse Beth cuz he needed assistance going to the bathroom and she told me someone would be right in. She never got off her fat ass to fetch another nurse and when I went back out to ask her again, I was completely ignored. As if I were talking to a wall. Thank goodness the other nurses were willing to help. They were busting their butts that night while Beth (and I will find out her last name) sat a flirted with the EMS and begged them not to leave because she wanted to listen to their scanners and hear about an accident that night instead of helping her own patients. It was my dad's last night on this earth and she was awful. Im thankful for the other nurses that worked that night because not only did they do their job, they were very pleasant during this awful time
Computers were down, when you finally got called over to desk, you have to stand!! No chairs at registration desk.
I said what about the lower right ab pain?? She said "how bout one thing at a time"!!
I can't believe the mess of that place.
She said its probably a UTI, I said NO, if I had a UTI I would know it!!
She said if I wanted to be treated for the right ab pain I should've been taken to the other side of the ER that the side I was on was for minor health problem...Are you freakin kidding me!!
My discharge papers state tests performed: The Urine is Stable!!?? I never knew urine can be stable, I knew it could be normal or abnormal.
Does any one work at this hospital? Called the main telephone number and it rang for 5 minutes and no one answered. They are working very hard at keeping their one star rating.
Sad excuse for an ER!!
